“ My brother wanted to propose to his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day and he asked the owners if he could use a tent outside so we could decorate and have their puppy be included in the proposal. Not only did they say yes, but they were SO flexible, welcoming, generous, and the most helpful staff to make this moment AMAZING. From putting the tarp on the tent, to setting up a heater to keep us warm, to tending to every need, they were AWESOME! Special thanks to Irene for being so great! And of course she said “Yes!” :-) ”
“ 10.18.24 while my original review still holds 100%, I thought it was noteworthy to mention that in the past 3 years, Cilento's has not increased their prices (at least on the main menu). While other restaurants, even local diners (looking at you Stirling House), have taken undo advantage, and demonstrated excessive greed, Cilento's has not! Kudos to Cilento's! Go there, have a great meal, watch the game, even bring the kids! Cilento's will not disappoint! --- original review --- Cilento's is a local bar, with a dining room. The menu is very surprising for a "bar". Much better selection, and certainly higher quality than one would expect at a "bar". I think Cilento's should be considered more a restaurant with a nice bar, and great atmosphere for watching sports. The staff is spectacular! They are very friendly and accommodating. The food will surprise you! Go for a great dinner, then stay around to socialize at the bar, if that is your thing. You won't be disappointed! ”

Sam, Geraldine and their daughter Irene did an incredible job and the staff was just amazing! The food is always wonderful at Bar Cilento and it was even better on my special night! The appetizers were served butler style then there was the amazing buffet for dinner which was loved by all! Thank you to Sam, Geraldine, Irene, the chefs, bartenders and servers for making sure our special day will always be remembered by us and our guests! ”
“ Honest to god best restaurant in Long Hill. You can’t get more authentic Italian food than Bar Cilento. The pasta is homemade and the recipes are at least 100 years old. You combine that with world class service and the incredible community that gathers here and I guarantee that you will come back for years to come. It is truly perfect in every way. ”

We had a Celebration of Life luncheon on Saturday 6/29 for my mother and father in-law and the food was delicious!!! The owners were so flexible and easy to work with, and the room we used was private and just the perfect size. If you have an event, I would highly recommend checking them out!!
